A beautiful and massive Rainbow Eucalyptus tree growing in the Waipi'o (or Waipio) Valley on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi. A tropical paradise, this is a sacred area known as "The Valley of the Kings." Many Hawaiian royal families trace their linage to this area. This is where Kamehameha the Great was declared the future ruler of all the Hawaiian Islands by the war god Kukailimoku. When Captain Cook arrived here he wrote that 10,000 people lived in this valley. Today this sacred valley is home to about 10 families, taro farms and Wild Horses.
