This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.
Artist's Description
This was a commission piece I just finished for my classmate. We graduated from Honoka'a high school. Both of us were nominated to be the "wave riders" in the "hall of fame" My beach of choice was Hapuna on the West side. Her beach of choice was Waipio, facing East. I changed the scene a little to fit my abstract style, but I think it captures the essence of the morning in the Valley.
About Suzanne D MacAdam
Suzanne MacAdam grew up in the idyllic beach community of Puako, on the Big Island of Hawaii. With the beach as her backyard, she started surfing at an early age and began painting as soon as she could hold a brush. Suzanne was taught to draw by her father, an architectural draftsman and cartoonist. She learned all about color from her mother, who frequently painted the rooms of their house in a range of tropical colors. After spending 15 years on Maui, where she was the singer of a popular band, she returned to her home and family on the Big Island.
